National Bank of Angola to submit legislation for mobile payments in 2019

Angola plans to launch a mobile payment system in 2019 to reinforce the electronic payment services already offered to the public, Angola Press reported. Pedro de Castro e Silva, administrator of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), said the bank will submit for approval new legislation on a payments system in 2019, particularly for mobile payments. BNA started working with the World Bank in March to introduce such legislation.
