NBCUniversal applies to keep screening Universal TV, Highlight Communications lifts stake in Sport1

The German Commission for the Determination of Concentration in the Media (KEK) said NBCUniversal Global Networks Deutschland has applied to the Berlin-Brandenburg media authority Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb) for an extension to broadcast the pay-TV channel Universal TV. The channel shows series and films. Universal TV is distributed by Sky Deutschland, Vodafone, M7, Deutsche Telekom and 1&1. NBCUniversal Global Networks Deutschland also screens the pay-TV channels 13th Street, SYFY and E! Entertainment.
