NCBA denies any plans to cut M-Shwari fees

NCBA Group, formerly the Commercial Bank of Africa, has differed with its partner Safaricom over the push to lower customer charges for M-Shwari loans, amid pressure for the state to curb unregulated digital mobile lenders who charge exorbitant monthly interest rates, Business Daily reported. The bank said there were no immediate plans to cut fees linked to M-Shwari, adding that it is focused on making digital loans competitive relative to similar products in the market place.
