NCC and ALTON oppose second toll-free Nigerian emergency service number

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Association of Licensed Telecommunication Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) have advised the Senate to drop the proposed bill on an emergency toll free number, saying it will amount to a duplication of efforts, as since an emergency toll free number already exists in the country, reports ThisDay. The bill is because of the rising incidences of crime
