NCC and Central Bank of Nigeria sign agreement on digital payment systems

The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a payments system, reports CommunicationsWeek. Umar Danbatta, executive vice chairman of NCC, said this was a landmark in digital transformation. He said the MoU concerning mobile money service and financial inclusion followed useful work done by a committee made up of the two organisations.
