NCC collaborates with National Security Adviser to stop call masking

Monday 30 July 2018 | 10:14 CET | News
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says it is collaborating with the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) to address the issue of call masking, reports CommunicationsWeek. Executive vice chairman of the commission Umar Danbatta said the collaboration became necessary because continued call masking poses a serious security threat to the nation. According to Danbatta, the NCC will nip the menace in the bud because call masking constitutes a security threat and deprives the government of revenue.
