NCC encourages start-ups to foster local content in face of pressure from globalisation

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says it has begun visiting technology start-ups in the six geopolitical zones to boost local contents, reports the Guardian. NCC CEO Umar Danbatta said the aims is to encourage technology entrepreneurship and innovation in the ICT sector. With the growing pressure of globalisation, every government and captain of industries should finding ways to ensure competitive and capable local content, he said.
