NCC expects major 4G and broadband expansion in next 5 years with drop in data price

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says there will be a significant improvement in the telecom industry in the next five years, the Daily Post reported. NCC CEO Umar Garba Danbatta told a media briefing that there will be massive deployment of 4G networks, broadband penetration and proper implementation of digital economy and strategy. Danbatta said that protection of consumers' rights against unpleasant practices by some service providers will be given a major focus in the next five years.
