NCC fines MTN, Glo, Airtel for poor performance

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has imposed a total fine of NGN 647.5 million on three out of the four major network operators in the country, namely  MTN Nigeria, Globacom and Airtel, for the breach of key performance indicators (KPIs) and poor quality of service for the month of January, ThisDay reported. Etisalat received a clean bill. In letters dated 19 February, the regulator addressed each of the affected companies, saying that it collated statistics from the network operating centres of the operators during January and discovered that the services provided by MTN, Airtel
