NCC plans to issue cost-based pricing for retail broadband in order to tackle competition concerns

Thursday 22 November 2018 | 09:55 CET | News
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says the broadband price war between bigger and smaller operators will soon come to an end, ThisDay reported. The NCC said it would soon release a new cost-based pricing for retail broadband that would give smaller operators a competitive advantage to remain in business. Funlola Akiode, the NCC's director of Licensing and Authorisation said the decision to release a new cost-based pricing for retail broadband arose from a forum held 2017, where the issue of anti-competition was raised.
