NCC qualifies 3 bidders for 3.5 GHz spectrum auction

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) announced that MTN Nigeria, Mafab Communications  and Airtel Nigeria have qualified as approved bidders in the forthcoming 3.5 GHz spectrum auction for the deployment of 5G networks in the country. In a statement, NCC said the three qualified bidders met the criteria for participation in the licensing process, including payment of the stipulated Intention to Bid Deposit (IBD) as outlined in the Information Memorandum.
