NCC says 40 mln Nigerians lack internet coverage

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said that about 40 million Nigerians currently cannot go online because of more than 200 access gaps in the ICT industry, Vanguard reported. NCC head Umar Danbatta said that something needed to done urgently to bridge these gaps. Danbatta said that the government has divided the country into seven zones, with each zone having a licensee to deploy broadband infrastructure.
