NCC says Nigerian telecom industry loses USD 3 bln to call masking

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says the telecommunications industry has lost USD 3 billion to call masking, reports Vanguard. Head of NCC Umar Danbatta said those responsible use a SIM box loaded with SIM numbers, that enables them to bypass legal call routes without getting tracked. He promised that the commission would soon round them up, having acquired equipment to detect such boxes.
