NCC seeks public input on 5G policy

The Nigerian Communications Commission has commenced plans to develop a policy for commercial deployment of 5G  technology and is seeking input from stakeholders. In a public notice, the regulator said a trial conducted on the 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands indicates that 5G technology had improved performance over previous ones and would be beneficial for Nigeria's socioeconomic development.
