NCC set to meet with operators over 15% charge on borrowed airtime

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has promised to look into the 15 percent charge by telecommunications operators on borrowed airtime, with a view to reducing it, ThisDay reported. NCC deputy director of consumer affairs bureau Hasfat Lawal has held a meeting with the president of the Association of Telephone, Cable Television and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCISN), and said the NCC will meet network operators to seek ways to possibly cut the charge.
