The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) confirmed that almost 12,000 young women have participated in the 2019 CyberFirst Girls competition. The top 10 teams will now progress to the final in Edinburgh in March.
A total of more than 3,350 teams participated in the competition, involving 11,802 schoolgirls aged-13, up 162 percent from 2018. More than 24,000 girls from UK schools have participated in the CyberFirst Girls competition over the past three years.
