Nearly 2/3 of French homes use DTT as main TV technology

DTT is the main means used to watch TV in 57.9 percent of French households with at least one TV in the second half of 2013, 1.8 percentage points fewer than six months earlier, according to a study by Mediametrie for broadcast regulator CSA. The study also found that ADSL was continuing to grow, but at a slower pace, as 40.7 percent of homes use it to watch TV. The proportion of homes with only ADSL TV, rose by 1.3 points to nearly 20 percent. Satellite is used by 25 percent of homes and cable 8.4 percent.
