Nearly 3,000 use Mexican consumer complaints tool in Q2

Mexico's 'Soy Usuario' online consumer platform received a total of 2,892 complaints in the second quarter of 2018, slightly down on the January to March period, according to the country's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) and consumer protection agency Profeco. Nearly 45 percent of the complaints corresponded to service failures, down from 47 percent in Q1, while 17 percent were due to billing issues, with mobile telephony accounting for 48.5 percent of the complaints, followed by internet, pay-TV and fixed telephony.
