Nearly 8 in 10 Spanish homes have internet access - study

Around 13.6 million Spanish households currently have internet access, compared to 3.3 million that do not, according to a study by national statistics agency INE. The rise in the internet penetration rate in Spanish homes from 74.4 percent in 2014 to 78.7 percent this year is mostly due to an 830,000 annual rise in the number of households with fixed broadband access. However, the study also revealed that 3.4 million Spanish families have no internet access whatsoever.
