Nearly half German 6 to 7-year-olds go online on smartphone

German digital industry association Bitkom said that 48 percent of German childen aged six to seven years old use a smartphone at least occasionally in order to access the internet, up from 39 percent in 2014. Use per session has risen from 11 minutes to 39 minutes. It said this is Generation Z, the first one to have grown up with digital technology.
