Neatgear beats expectations in Q1, with record adjusted operating profit

Netgear reported a solid start to the year, with higher revenues and profit driven by contributions from both the SMB and CHP business segments. Revenues for the first quarter advanced 38.3 percent from the year before to a higher-than-forecast USD 317.9 million, with the operating profit soaring to USD 31.3 million from 0.7 million. The adjusted operating profit hit a record of USD 42.3 million, against 8.2 million the year earlier. The net result meanwhile moved to a profit of USD 0.72 per diluted share, from a loss of 0.14 per share. The operating cash flow went to USD 13.7 million.
