NEC delivers microwave link for 4G+ on Mount Fiji

NEC said it delivered its iPasolink EX ultra-compact microwave communications system to support NTT Docomo's launch of LTE-Advanced service at the top of Mount Fuji, Japan's tallest mountain. The wireless transmission unit supports the E-band spectrum in the 70-80GHz range as well as 256QAM technology for high-capacity transmission of up to 3.2Gbps.
