NEC launches new version of smart city management platform

Monday 5 December 2016 | 13:39 CET | News
NEC Iberica announced the launch of a new version of Cloud City Operation Centre (CCOC), NEC's smart city offering based on the Fiware open source platform for the development of smart applications. The system gathers data from IoT sensors across a city for monitoring key performance indicators relating to a wide range of public services. The KPIs can be quickly cross-referenced and visualised via the operation centre's dashboard, which can make predictions based on a wide range of environmental parameters, including temperature, pollen count, noise, carbon monoxide and ambient light levels.
