NEC, NTT, NTT Com, Fujitsu, Hitachi develop SDN technologies

NEC, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), NTT Communications (NTT Com), Fujitsu and Hitachi have announced the development of technologies that enable SDN, compatibility for wide area networks, including platforms for integrating and managing multiple varieties of wide area network infrastructure and general-purpose network control applications used with those platforms. These technologies were developed under the 'Open Innovation Over Network Platforms' (O3 Project) research and development project.
