NEC supports Bristol smart city project

NEC has agreed a long-term partnership with UK smart city initiative 'Bristol In Open', a JV between Bristol City Council and the University of Bristol. The project aims to develop a open, programmable city to support the creation of new smart services for people, business and academia. This will support improvements in a wide range of services, including traffic congestion, waste management, entertainment, e-democracy, and energy supply. NEC will use the partnership to demonstrate new approaches to pervasive digital connectivity at city-scale. It will support the project partners to develop
