Nepal Telecom's H1 profit up slightly as expenses grow

Nepal Telecom posted a profit of NPR 5.55 billion in the first half ended mid-January, up 0.66 percent. Total income was NPR 19.69 billion, versus NPR 18.43 billion in the year-ago period. Expenditures grew to NPR 12.2 billion from NPR 10.81 billion last year due the payments for the Wimax project and the ongoing 10 million GSM lines project, eKantipur writes citing Nepal Telecom spokesperson Guna Keshari Pradhan.
