French start-up company Netatamo is exhibiting its Welcome intelligent camera with face recognition technology at CES. In a concern for data privacy, the device stores pictures on an SD disk, rather than in the cloud. The camera recognises family members to detect them as known or unknown, send alerts, for example to let parents know their children are home without watching a video stream, Potter added.
