German regional network operator NetCologne has reported pre-tax profit of EUR 12.3 million for 2015, driven by its regional fibre network roll-out. The company's network now serve around 830,000 households with broadband connections up to 100 Mbps. NetCologne has invested around EUR 32 million in its network roll-out, and claims to have 384,000 fixed-line customer connections. Of these, 187,000 were connected through its own fibre network (FTTB, FTTC, HFC) at end-2015, up 23,000 from 164,000 at end-2014. Its TV customer base increased to 225,000 at end-2015, from 222,000 a year earlier.
