NetCologne plans EUR 43 mln vectoring technology roll-out

German operator NetCologne has announced plans to invest around EUR 43 million through 2018 to expand its last-mile network operations. This comes after the Federal Network Agency (BnA) published its draft decision on changes to the regulatory framework for access to Deutsche Telekom's last-mile network. This firm commitment follows an announcement in April that NetCologne was planning a local network investment using vectoring technology. In a submission to the BnA, NetCologne has committed to upgrade 60 local networks and around 200 central nodes with vectoring technology by end-2018. As
