NetCologne shows interest in building local 5G network

German regional operator NetCologne has showed an interest in building its own local 5G network, Golem reports. NetCologne "is interested in the local" as well as "in the regional frequencies", spokesperson for the company Venera Gummich said. A spokesperson for the Federal Network Agency said that frequencies in the range of 3,700 MHz- 3,800 MHz band will be allocated locally, in particular for 5G use.
