Netcom told to change TV ad for 4G services

The Norwegian Consumer Arbitrator has asked Netcom to change a television commercial advertising its 4G services as 'lightning-fast'. The advert only mentions in small script the fact that the speed varies according to the subscription and other conditions, and there is no verbal communication of this fact. The advert also claims that Netcom is developing LTE coverage nationwide, but the the map of Norway used stops at Trondelag. Currently, Netcom only provides 4G services from Sorlandet to Trondelag. The arbitration office is therefore calling on Netcom to state when it is planning to deploy
