Netflix begins crackdown on proxy users in UAE

Movie streaming service Netflix has started a crackdown on customers using proxy software to watch content, ArabianBusiness reported. The firm launched in the UAE recently as part of a global roll-out in January, including parts of the Middle East. However, Netflix warned at the time it would clamp down on widespread use of proxies, virtual private networks (VPNs) and other technologies for unblocking content not yet licensed in a particular territory.
