Netflix dominates Mexican SVoD market with 70% of subs in Q3

Netflix continues to dominate the Mexican subscription video on demand (SVoD) market, accounting for over 70 percent of video subs at the end of the third quarter, reports website Xataka Mexico, citing research by The Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU). Some five years after its launch in the country, Netflix has reached 70.1 percent of the Mexican OTT market, the most dynamic in Latin America. However, Televisa's recently launched Blim service has already overtaken Claro Video to account for 17.5 percent of users, with America Movil's platform plummeting from 28.7 percent of subscriptions
