Netflix ranks as leading application in Canada

Netflix is the leading application in Canada, and on select networks, can account for between 30-40 percent of downstream traffic in the peak evening hours, up from just 13.5 percent of evening traffic in Canada three years ago, according to Sandvine. No other paid over-the-top (OTT) video service accounts for more than 1 percent of traffic in the evening.
