Netflix to continue "world of partnerships" strategy

Netflix is determined to continue with its policy of working with traditional telecommunications and pay-TV providers across dozens of countries rather than actively seeking to undermine them, reports Ad Week, citing the company's Device Partner Ecosystem VP Scott Mirer. "I think cord cutting is great rhetoric to sell ads and generate readership," he said, adding that "there's a story in there about overall long-term changes in the industry, but it's not the disaster story that I think it's made out to be."
