Netflix to hike Mexico investment to USD 300 mln this year - report

Netflix intends to launch over 50 original Mexican productions this year in a total investment exceeding USD 300 million, according to business plans seen by Forbes Mexico. The investment compares to the USD 200 million shelled out last year to produce shows including the popular Control Z series, seen by 20.5 million users worldwide in its first 28 days, and Oscuro Deseo (Dark Desire), with viewing figures that topped 35 million users worldwide in just 28 days.
