Netflix to increase price for US customers

Friday 9 October 2015 | 10:59 CET | News
Netflix has confirmed plans to increase subscription prices for US subscribers by USD 1 to USD 9.99 a month, reports The Washington Post. Netflix will use the extra funds to develop more original content. The price rise will apply to new subscribers from 11 November, with existing subscriber paying the existing USD 8.99 a month fee until October 2016. Long-time customers who still pay USD 7.99 a month will keep paying that price until at least May 2016.
