Netgear powers Docsis 3.0 cable gateway launch for Telstra

Thursday 14 August 2014 | 11:13 CET | News
Netgear and Australian telecommunications company Telstra deployed the Netgear Docsis 3.0 AC1900 Cable Data Gateway (C6300BD) for the new Telstra Gateway Max. This is the world's first commercial deployment of a cable gateway that provides customers up to three times faster WiFi speeds on their home networks, Netgear said. The new Telstra Gateway Max service achieves this performance by combining powerful Docsis 3.0 capabilities with next-generation dual-band AC1900 WiFi (600+1300 Mbps).
