Netgem in takeover bid for Videofutur

French STB maker Netgem has announced plans to acquire 100 percent of French VoD service provider Videofutur Entertainment Group for cash and shares. Netgem and Videofutur's boards have approved the tender offer and Videofutur investors with 77.5 percent of shares have committed their shares. Netgem said it aimed to use Videofutur's cloud-based VoD platform to offer a connected TV offer for multi-service operators in France and to progressively integrate the VoD service within its international offering.
