Netly receives USD 40 mln investment to bring fibre to California

Ubiquity Partners said it has invested USD 40 million into Netly, to develop open access fibre networks in California, including San Diego's North County. Netly will begin development in Solana Beach immediately and later expand to surrounding communities. The initial system will pass about 7,000 residential and business premises, with construction set to begin early next year. Ubiquity said its' partnership with Netly could grow to USD 250 million in overall capital commitments.
