New Freeview Play service to launch in October

UK TV provider Freeview announced that the new Freeview Play connected TV service will launch in October. Panasonic 2015 Viera TVs will be the first to introduce the service and existing compatible TVs will update automatically in the lead-up to October. Freeview Play combines catch-up TV from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, on-demand services as well as live TV. It is free from subscription and works with all broadband services. Freeview will support the launch with a new TV advertising campaign. Following the TV launch, Panasonic will also be introducing a full range of video
