New Jersey opts-in to FirstNet network

Wednesday 26 July 2017 | 16:19 CET | News
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has decided the state will "opt in" to FirstNet. With the decision, FirstNet and AT&T will deliver a wireless broadband network to New Jersey's public safety community. The network will carry the potential for future integration with NextGen 911 networks and Smart City infrastructures. Primary users, such as fire, police, EMS and other public safety workers, will be able to use the 24/7/365 AT&T LTE network by year-end.
