New submarine cable proposed from Iceland to UK or Ireland

Icelandic telecoms services provider Farice ehf, which operates submarine cables to Iceland, and the Telecommunication Fund of Iceland have signed an agreement to start preparation work for a new submarine cable from Iceland to Europe.
