New TV series boost audiences with first episodes

Three of the latest TV series to have boosted audiences significantly in their slots come from France, Denmark and the UK, according to Eurodata Worldwide. French pay TV operator Canal Plus's Versailles, described as the most expensive French series ever, saw its first episode boost the audience among housewives aged 15-49 by 34 percent versus the slot average. The other strong performers were the premiere of Danish game show Zulu Julu Pakkeregn and UK docu-series Reggie Yates' Extreme UK.
