Nexperia announces plans to grow global production, increase R&D spend

Tuesday 9 February 2021 | 15:42 CET | News
Nexperia confirmed that it will make significant additional investments in manufacturing capacity and research and development during 2021. The new investments are in line with a growth strategy that in 2020 saw Wingtech Technology, Nexperia's parent company, commit CNY 12 billion (USD 1.85 billion) to building a new 300mm power semiconductor wafer fab in Lingang, Shanghai. This factory, which will go live in 2022, will have an estimated annual output of 400,000 wafers.
