Nextel becomes third Brazilian operator to adopt RCS

Nextel will be the third Brazilian mobile telephony operator to adopt RCS as a new mobile messaging standard, reports Mobile Time. The operator is in the final phase of testing the technology and chose Google as a supplier. It will join Oi and Vivo, which have also adopted RCS with Google's platform, which is hosted in the cloud and offered for free to operators.
