Nextel Mexico launches 4G in three cities

Nextel Mexico, owned by NII Holdings, has launched its 4G LTE offering in the local market, El Economista reports. The operator will initially provide its 4G LTE services in Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara. According to the report, the operator already provides full coverage in these three cities. Nextel Mexico aims to launch 4G in additional cities next year. Nextel Mexico expects to add nearly 600,000 new subscribers in 2015, according a previous presentation by NII Holdings. Nextel Mexico aims to end this year with 3.4 million subscribers in the country.
