Nextel seeks partner to offer 4G services in Argentina

Despite the refusal of the Argentina Government to assign Nextel the frequencies to provide 3G telephony services, the operator has decided to expand its presence on the local market by implementing 4G services based on LTE technology, reports iProfesional. A Nextel source said that the existing network would be compatible with the new standard, so the operator would not have to face high costs for implementation. The focus will be on expanding bandwidth and offering new value-added services along with data transmission. The company is searching for a technology partner to help to adjust
