Nextel to expand 4G offer in Brazil

Nextel Brasil is focusing on expanding its 3G and 4G mobile internet plans in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, VP George Dolce told Info. Prepaid is not part of the company's strategy that targets "premium" customers, the VP said. Of the over 4 million customers of Nextel, nearly half already use an internet mobile plan, while the remaining subscribe to a wireless service. The company is planning a complete transformation, moving from offering primarily wireless services to internet plans on mobile phones, at affordable prices.
