Nextnet sells 2.6 GHz permit

Thursday 7 August 2014 | 13:09 CET | News
Wimax operator Nextnet has sold its permit for the 2.6 GHz frequency band, InsideTelecom.no reported, citing board chairman and managing director Bjor Einar Kihl. He would not disclose the buyer, citing a confidentiality clause in the sale agremenet, but said it would be named eventually. Kihl is a partner at Contango Kapital, which manages the ownerships of a number of companies for EFI Energy Future Invest, a fund owned chiefly by power companies Eidsiva and Hafslund. InsideTelecom speculated that the buyer could be Telenor Norway.
